"This is a new, exciting, gentle approach to the Spiritual Journey. Having just finished [Matter of Spirit], I feel as though I have experienced lovely, scented Spring breezes wafting through my soul. Anyone, at any stage of their spiritual journey, will be able to benefit from this book. The most difficult questions and philosophical issues are dealt with in simple language and new, fresh metaphors.
The author beckons one to journey with her, to explore one's own journey, to re-examine one's conclusions and try new ways of experimenting with and exploring one's relationship with the Divine and with other people.
My soul has been fed, my Spirit quickened, my physical, material body penetrated by Spirit as my understanding has been stirred to new approaches in every dimension of my being."

"...Matter of Spirit should find its place among other accounts of religious journeys that have proven to be gems of inspiration...
The work is written with remarkable simplicity, filled with many encounters with the Holy, and replete with paradoxical, spiritual insights into the nature of human nature and the workings of the Divine. From a purely spiritual point of view, this is a book that truly matters."

"Matter of Spirit gives Christianity a new age voice. Elizabeth Barberi uses her experiences as a 'freelance mystic' to illustrate the classic inner journey. New insights into deep spiritual questions are explained with almost childlike simplicity. It is a short book with much to ponder."

"It is a road map for confused men and women of our age to the greatest of God's gardens, the garden of peace lit by God's love. I urge it to everyone who wishes to know peace here and later...
